ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

This position will provide administrative support to the Australia Development team. Under the supervision of the Office Manager, this position provides administrative and secretarial support for the office and Development department. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, performs duties such as coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating mailings, and working on special projects. Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.

Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, car service (as required)
  • Calendar management- keeping calendars accurately updated, including travel and meeting scheduling
  • Expense report preparation and credit card statement reconciliation
  • Entering contact card details in Outlook
  • Overnight shipment preparation as requested
  • Preparing payment request forms and commitment authorization forms promptly
  • Copying/scanning/filing documents as requested
  • Preparation for meetings as requested, including lunch orders, set up/clean up, printing of presentations

Receptionist Responsibilities

  • Answering the office main line
  • Warmly greeting all visitors, announcing their arrival by calling the individual they are to see, showing visitors to a conference room, offering beverages

  • Collecting mail from the mailbox in the building, opening and date stamping all mail, bringing outgoing mail to the mailbox, dropping overnight deliveries into the outgoing mail box
  • Conference calendar scheduling to avoid conflicts, and daily posting of meeting room schedules including updates throughout the day as needed

Office Maintenance Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for ordering snacks and beverages for the breakroom, putting the orders away immediately upon delivery, keeping kitchen and conference room refrigerators stocked daily

Communications and Government Relations Manager - Port Augusta

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Communications and Government Relations Manager located in SolarReserve’s Port Augusta office will manage community and government relations, public relations, and marketing activities for SolarReserve’s Aurora Solar Energy Project.

  • Responsible for overall stakeholder management
  • Liaise with Government of South Australia media advisors
  • Manage the expectations of the local communities
  • Represent the Aurora project on community, forums and local municipality stakeholder engagement meetings
  • Provide relevant business advisory services
  • Develop and maintain close relationship and communication with Port Augusta community
    • Frequent updates on everything related to the Aurora project (status and milestones, job opportunities, equipment supply opportunities, etc.), via website, newsletters, social media, and community presentations
    • Hold regular Town Hall meetings with the Port Augusta community
    • Provide community with details on what jobs will be needed (compile list of all job functions), along with job requirements, and how to apply
  • Partner with local schools/trades to help Port Augusta community prepare/train for upcoming job opportunities
  • Develop, execute, and manage educational initiatives

Office Manager - Adelaide

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

The Office Manager will work with teams throughout the Company in Australia and globally in supporting the Australia offices and the Development and team.

The Office Manager position is responsible for overall office activities, including the reception area, mail, large purchasing requests and facilities. Also responsible for directing and coordinating office services and related activities, including developing and supervising programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment. Responsible for arranging internal office moves and providing arrangements for office meetings.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image
  • Supervises and coordinates overall administrative activities for the Office Administration Department
  • Supervises the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement and housekeeping of office facilities
  • Negotiates the purchase of office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire staff in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions
  • Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machine, etc.
    Responsible for the facilities day-to-day operations (such as distributing building access keys and back-up to security access cards, etc.)
  • Support Operations team including ongoing operations efforts as well as special projects
  • Coordination and preparation of RFPs, document data rooms, presentations, and other business materials
  • Support project management and bid preparation to respond to development opportunities
  • Travel coordination, both domestically and internationally
  • Calendar and meeting scheduling via Outlook
  • Working as a team with the other assistants in the office to support various meetings as required; set up and clean up for meetings

Senior Project Development Manager - Adelaide

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will support the Company's business development efforts in Australia including the new SolarReserve Aurora Solar Energy Project. The primary objective will be to form commercial agreements with mines, energy companies, or other entities for the purchase of electric power or electric generating equipment. Deployment of SolarReserve’s proprietary molten salt power tower technology is preferred over other technologies, however opportunities may arise for a variety of power solutions, including solar photovoltaic. The position will receive strong support from project development, engineering, finance, and other departments at SolarReserve, headquartered in California. Daily responsibilities will include quantitative and qualitative review of project and market opportunities, competitor assessment, and preparation of bid proposals, applications and other tendering-related documents.

Major day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a SolarReserve ambassador in Australia, communicating the value of our proprietary technology to decision-makers at prospective customer organizations
  • Execute the search, planning, and development of projects in line with corporate objectives
  • Maintain and manage relationships with potential customers and joint venture partners, government agencies, trade organizations, local communities, and all other relevant stakeholders
  • Create presentations and memoranda, including financial analysis, for potential customers, senior management, business partners, investors, government agencies, financing sources, and others
  • Assist in preparing project proposals, policy memorandums, and competitive bid responses or other tendering-related documents, including gathering, synthesizing and verifying information from across the Company and industry
  • Creatively and proactively originate new project opportunities
  • Concisely disseminate important information to Senior Management and colleagues throughout the SolarReserve organization
