New Product Development Manager

SolarReserve is a leading renewable energy project development and technology company with exclusive worldwide rights to proprietary molten salt and heliostat technologies from Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne.  The company is seeking product management candidates that are passionate about developing and deploying new technologies for the renewable energy sector, are self-motivated, innovative and results oriented.

The position will be responsible for leading development of product improvements in order to strengthen SolarReserve’s leadership in solar power technologies.  Responsibilities will include management of all phases of new product development from initial conception through insertion of improvements into SolarReserve’s current product line.  This person must be capable of working with senior management and internal technical staff, as well as a diverse base of commercial and government partners.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of demonstrated product development experience including successful management of schedule, cost and quality performance.
  • Experience in energy or other heavy industry is preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale conventional electrical generation projects a plus.
  • BS or MS Engineering degree required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft software tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical staff and external suppliers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, must be able to interact with senior executives as well as technical personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Manages strategic planning of new product development, as well as tactical execution of individual development programs.
  • Responsible and accountable for all phases of program execution (i.e. cost, schedule, quality, etc.)
  • Manages and interfaces with commercial and government partners to ensure proper execution and reporting.
  • Reviews technical information for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Provides program status to internal management.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.

Supply/Project Manager

SolarReserve is a leading renewable energy project development and technology company with exclusive worldwide rights to proprietary molten salt and heliostat technologies from Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne.  The company is seeking project management candidates that will lead the deployment of this enabling technology on SolarReserve projects located throughout the world.

The position will be responsible for supplier management of the critical hardware and software for SolarReserve’s upcoming project in Spain.  Responsibilities will cover all phases of product delivery from proposal management, contract negotiations, and contract execution (engineering, procurement and construction).  This person will be working with world class suppliers who have been selected to provide this hardware and software.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of demonstrated project management experience including successful management of schedule, cost and quality performance
  • Experience with large-scale conventional electrical generation projects a plus
  • BS or MS Engineering degree required
  • Proficient with Microsoft software tools
  • Experience managing external suppliers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, must be able to interact with senior executives as well as trade and craft personnel, fluency in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for all phases of project execution (i.e. project cost, schedule, quality, configuration management, etc.)
  • Manages day-to-day aspects of project and scope.
  • Manages and interfaces with external suppliers to ensure proper project execution and reporting.
  • Interfaces with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) firm providing project status, ensuring proper project execution and resolving issues.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team and external suppliers before providing to EPC.
  • Provides project status to internal management.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
